About EFC Fencing

EFC is a family business celebrating 50 years in manufacturing and distributing a wide range of Fencing, Gates and other landscaping products to countless satisfied customer throughout the UK.

Our commitment to service, quality and value for money has earned us the enviable reputation of being a major supplier to both Trade and Retail customers.

When Barry Connell first established EFC Fencing back in 1959, little did he realise that it would grow from being a small Contracting business to what has now become one of the most reputable Manufacturers & Distributors of Timber and Concrete Landscaping products in the UK.

In the 20 years that followed, EFC Fencing became a thriving fencing installation business, establishing both credibility and reputation by successfully completing major projects such as the installation of fencing along, what was then, the newly constructed M6 motorway.

With the introduction of Barry’s son Andrew into the firm in 1981, EFC Fencing became a formidable family business with a portfolio of services that now extended across traffic signs, crash barriers and traditional Panel Fencing products.

The 1980’s saw a boom in new housing and with it came a growing demand for Panel Fencing. In order to meet this demand, the firm relocated to a builder’s yard in Eccleshall, a move that was to provide the much needed storage space for the contracting side and enough additional space to venture into the world of manufacturing.

With all thoughts of developing the traffic sign and crash barrier side now abandoned, this became a major turning point in the firm’s history and the birthplace of what was to become the Eccleshall Fencing Company.

1991 saw the introduction of Mark Connell into the firm, another family member whose initial role was to concentrate on the continual development of Panel manufacturing, which by 1994 had grown to such an extent that the business needed to relocate once again. This latest move was to establish the firm at its current location in Lawnhead, the point at which Eccleshall Fencing became known simply as EFC.

In the years that followed, EFC Fencing made a gradual transition from being a contracting firm to what is now a major manufacturing and distribution business, a transition made easier by the considerable investment made in new plant and machinery.
